Claire Williamson

Overview

Born and raised in Edinburgh I moved to Pitlochry in the summer of 2018, drawn by the spectacular beauty of the surrounding countryside. Each season here holds its own magic, from the icy stillness of January all the way through to the glorious technicolour of the high summer. And of course the Highland Perthshire trees in their autumn colours need no explanation!

I attended Edinburgh College of Art and Leith School of Art before taking a leap of faith to become a professional artist and pursue my passion for exploring Scotland’s landscapes and its wildlife.

My small cosy home studio serves me well, but whenever the weather and my health problems allow, you’re more likely to find me out on the moors or sitting on the edge of a lonely loch, listening to the birds and looking for inspiration!
