My love of printmaking began whilst studying at Belfast Art College in the early 1980s. Drawing has always been a very important part of my art practice and for me an essential component for my printmaking.
I love to experiment and try new techniques and my etchings, mezzotints and lithographs reflect my interest in our inspiring landscape, it’s ever changing light and atmosphere and the diverse wildlife that inhabit it.
I can be inspired by a train journey, a river walk or a bird on a branch. In essence my inspiration is all around me!
