Nicola makes functional and decorative homeware from her studio in Perthshire.

Mainly working in thrown stoneware, Nicola uses both traditional and digital techniques in her design and making process.

Her work is decorated using patterns which she designs and creates digitally, using a 3d printer and various printing and stamping techniques to transfer these digital patterns onto her ceramics. The patterns are inspired by textures and patterns found in Scottish and Alpine landscapes and are often created by abstracting parts of photographs taken in the countryside.
