Born in East Kilbride, I spent my formative years at Lochgilphead before studying ceramics at Glasgow School of Art.

Since graduating I have had long periods of self employment interspersed with teaching and lecturing. Ceramics has always been a constant touchstone and I endeavour to use my interests and obsessions to make my work personal and unique. What ever I make I hope that my joy and pleasure is reflected in the work.
