Stewart Lowe is a Highland based artist, working with materials obtained locally in the Scottish Highlands, such as marble, serpentine, pegmatite, and woods including sycamore and cherry.

Stewart Lowe’s core process is to find and release the form hidden within each piece of stone or wood. His work explores the contrast of hard and soft both in the materials he works with and the figures he creates. Developing his craft across Scotland and Spain, he has made sculpture for over fifty years, exhibiting his work across the UK and Europe.
