The Perthshire Gallery showcases a wide variety of contemporary art, artists and makers, demonstrating our intention to make art accessible and enjoyable for all. We have strived to create a calm and welcoming space that excites and surprises too.
The Space
14 Bonnethill Road, Pitlochry, is a natural gallery space. A Victorian building with high ceilings and large windows, it is light and welcoming. There are three distinct spaces to the gallery, the large front gallery, a smaller, more intimate, middle gallery and an artists studio behind.
The Perthshire Gallery uses this calm, welcoming space to exhibit a carefully curated range of paintings, ceramics, sculpture, jewellery, textiles, printmaking and handcrafted furniture.
Bonnethill Road was formerly known as Middle Moulin Road and this pretty hill leads to Moulin and the imposing Ben Vrackie beyond. Over the last 100 years, the building has had many uses but all connected to ‘the home’. Most recently, it was Melt Gallery, specialising in silver jewellery.
The Perthshire Gallery now capitalises on the buildings’ history, its place at the heart of this community and adds artistic weight to the centre of this bustling tourist town.
